Programme Requirements

To apply for the Antigua and Barbuda citizenship-by-investment programme, applicants must fulfil ONE of the following investment options AND other requirements:

OPTION 1. Make a Donation

The first citizenship-by-investment option is a US$100,000 donation to the National Development Fund (NDF). There is a $30,000 processing fee for a family of up to four persons with incremental payments of $15,000 for each additional dependent.

Due diligence fees are $7,500 + $7,500 for a spouse, $2,000 per dependent 12-17, and $4,000 per dependent aged 18 and over.

OPTION 2. Purchase a Property

Alternatively, you can buy property or invest in approved development projects in Antigua or Barbuda. This entails buying US$200,000 worth of real estate or a share of a project that must be held for at least five years.

You pay a $30,000 processing fee for a family of up to four persons with incremental payments of $15,000 for each additional dependent. There are due diligence fees of $7,500 + $7,500 for a spouse, $2,000 per dependent 12-17, and $4,000 per dependent aged 18 and above.

OPTION 3. Invest in a Business

The third option is to make a direct investment of a minimum of US$1,500,000 into an approved business as a sole investor. At your discretion, you can include at least one other person in a joint investment in an eligible business totalling at least US$5,000,000.

OPTION 4. Contribute to the University of the West Indies (UWI) Fund

A US$150,000 contribution (inclusive of processing fees) for a family up to six plus processing fees of US$15,000 for each additional dependent guarantees citizenship for all. One member of your family is eligible for a one-year, tuition-only scholarship at the University of the West Indies.

Application Process

  • MONTH 1

    Client onboarding begins

    We commence our process with Form 1. This enables us to carry out the initial RIF Trust, part of Latitude Group, due diligence. Following the successful screening, we will provide you with a Client Agreement (CA) to review and sign.

    Upon receiving the signed agreement and retainer payment, our legal team will complete all necessary government forms and supporting documents. If you make a property investment, you will need to execute a sales and purchase agreement with the developer. We will liaise with the property developer and the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) on your behalf.

  • MONTHS 2-4

    Application review and submission

    Before submitting your documents, we comprehensively review your application to ensure your file complies with the CIU's requirements. Our legal team will complete its final checks before submitting the relevant forms.

    The CIU will undertake its own due diligence and reviews all the paperwork. We will continue to work closely with them throughout the process to ensure your application is timely and efficiently processed.

  • MONTHS 4-5

    Passport issued

    The CIU will assess your application, and upon approval, you must make all necessary contributions and pay any applicable government fees. After completion of final relevant payments, the CIU will send out Certificates of Naturalization followed by your passports.
